The person who decides that a task should be carried out.
- The task sponsor informs the task manager about the purpose of the task, its background, and any other conditions.
- Assesses whether the results of the task will be worth the effort involved.
- Agrees with the task manager about objectives, time and resource limits.
- Supplies resources.
- Specifies how the results should be delivered.
- Receives delivery.
- Takes responsibility for the use of results.
