The origin of IRNOP Christophe Midler, Research Director, French National Research Council (CNRS)

IRNOP, International Research Network on Organizing by Projects, connects scholars with a background in business, economics, engineering and other fields, with a common interest in projects, project organizations and temporary systems.
Here Christophe talks about how he came to meet Rolf Lundin and hands-on stories about the IRNOP conference 30 years ago. “ The origin of Irnop was a bit like the movie Shining. We were in a big mansion, only us in the middle of nowhere near Lycksele with a lot of snow” He describes that there is a continuous evolution within the project realm that calls for new questions and new issues making it relevant over time.

The video was taken at the IRNOP research conference I Stockholm. Christophe Midler is a Research Director at French National Research Council (CNRS).
He is also Director of the Polytechnique Management Research Center and professor responsible for the Chair of innovation management at Ecole Polytechnique. Christophe as established the term “Projectification” that was highlighted 30 years ago in Lycksele and has become a research topic for many scholars and also highlighted in the IRNOP conference I Stockholm.
