PMI® Community Build-up Day 2019

Therese and Leif from our Malmö office participated in this year’s Community Build-up Day, which was organized by PMI® Sweden.

It was an inspiring and rewarding day that offered several really interesting lectures.

A major focus was put on cooperation projects, which is a relatively new working methods of the construction industry. Among other things, we were presented with research in the area, insights into legal aspects and thoughts regarding when it is appropriate to use the form of cooperation. Interesting recommendations were presented about including the soft parts of the cooperation in the legal contract, not just how disputes, payments, etc. should be handled. The Project Managers leadership is also put to great test in a complex environment, where cooperation often occurs. Delegating, enthuse, establishing mutual trust and having faith in one’s employees are some of the key factors to success. We also received a useful confirmation of how important it is to think outside the box when using tools to stimulate creativity and conversation, especially when working in a complex environment.
